Crystal Lettuce
Crystal lettuce has a sweet crunchy bite and has a high leaf count. Because their leaves are frilly and crunchy, they make a perfect accompaniment in burgers and sandwiches. It can also be used as a hot ingredient in hotpot as it is able to retain their texture and crunch.
Naibai
A popular choice of vegetables among Singaporeans, Naibai is also known as milk cabbage and baby bok choy. Nai bai has a mild sweet taste and has a good crunch without tasting fibrous. It is a tasty vegetable that can simply be stir fried with garlic or oyster sauce.
Caixin Hua
Caixin hua is an Asian leafy vegetables and is part of the mustard family. It has thick stems and dark green leaves, and can be easily distinguished with its little yellow flowers. It is due to its thick stems that caixin hua is juicier and has the highest level of calcium amongst other vegetables.
Mesclun Salad
The mesclun salad is made up of a combination of both green and red oak; and green and red frisees' baby leaves. With a mixed bag of lettuces, mesclun is not only high in vitamin A (beta carotene), vitamin C and folate, it has different dimensional taste from being mildly nutty; to mildly bitter and peppery.
Mixed Lettuce
The mixed lettuce is made up of green coral and red oak lettuces. The two types of lettuces complement each other well as they both have a buttery texture. While red oak is known for its incredibly sweet mellow and nutty flavor, green coral has a crispy and succulent texture. When put together, they are both pleasing to the palate and aesthetically pleasing.
